Winter Time Blahs

Only early December and I'm bored all ready waiting for spring gonna be a long cold winter

Pond

Well I thought the pond behind the house was done for the season but this warming trend changed that up a lil bit..So I went out there thru a Green Pumpkin football jig with a Strike King Rage Tail Craw for a trailer and pulled these guys out.

Went out to Geist reservoir yesterday for about 4 hrs another high pressure with clear blue skies and a stiff north breeze at 15mph..water temperature was 48-55 degrees only managed 2 Largemouth no size to either of them in the process of cleaning out the boat maybe done for the year

Raccoon

Hit raccoon on sunday and was a lil dissappointed..the wind was howling and though I managed a 6 largemouth only one of them was a keeper also caught 1 crappie couldnt get them to bite what i was offering the white bass were hitting pretty good when you came across a school of them ..water temp was 60-62 degrees.

Brookville

Went to brookville on the 16th and failed miserably only managed one striper all day high pressure after a cold front is what I'm blaming it on hate those clear blue mile high skies I never seem to do any good..my favorite line is good people weather is bad fishing weather who knows?.The water temp was right 64-66 degrees and the shad were so thick in the back of the coves that you could of walked on the water but nothing was chasing them.

Lemon

Went to Lemon on the 13th Started to throw the buzzbait wasnt getting any action then had one bump at it so I switched to a swim jig which I read about on another blog and immediately started catching them nie size too but when I purchased the swim jig only bought 1 because I was leary of its effectiveness so i proceeded to hook the best fish of my lif e I believe and he wrapped me around a dock pole twice and broke off whith the only bait I was getting bit on..so I tried my best to duplicate the bait wiht parts from other baits I had with me to no avail never got another bite all day.

Local pond

Hit the local pond again last night for about a half hour. Caught 5 bass biggest went about 2lbs..All on the white buzzbait . If you haven't tried a buzzbait for fall fishin I highly recommend it.

New Products I am trying.

Just picked up a Field and Stream Tec-Spec rod from Dick's Sporting Goods I was going to purchase the abu garcia combo with coupons and rebates you cant really beat the price  but I must confess I'm a bit vane and i really liked the looks of these tec-spec rods so i thought I would try it out paired with a abu garcia orra sx reel I picked up at walmart and after an outing on a local pond last nigh I really like it caught 11 Bass on a white buzz bait not bad for an hours work.
